Bananas remain one of the best loved fruit around the world. But very few people know the amount or number of Banana Calories. This is a tropical fruit found in most parts of the world. Bananas are rated between 3rd and or 4th most fruit in the whole world. They are soft and sweet and quite nutritious. A single banana is usually referred to as a finger of banana but clusters if they are more than one. It is important before deciding on the calories contained, to state that they differ in sizes. This is because there are different species. Bananas contain quite a high degree of natural sugars and are usually very sweet.

The calories are on most occasions spread from carbs to its potassium value amongst others.

The amount of calories increases as they are cooked. Bananas are eaten raw (ripe) or when cooked and mashed. Their health benefits cannot be underrated and are known to add extra energy to those intending to train. Students are also advised to take a banana before an exam as it is a mind booster. Bananas are easy to eat and very healthy as they come with a peel. Just a quick side fact, they are at the upper end of the potassium rich foods list.
